Stefany Rattles, lived in Los Angeles California for eight years and then moved to Arkansas and has been living there ever since. She has a full time office job and writes on her free time. She also writes under pen name M.S. L.R.
Stefany graduated Springdale High in 2007. Currently she is also attending Post University and hopes to get her degree in Computer Information Systems.
She loves to read, write, read and write!
What inspires you to write?
Several things. People, weird dreams or just random thoughts. I like to explore different ideas.
Tell us about your writing process.
I don’t outline so much as I used to. Sometimes I may write something down so I don’t forget where I want to add that. For the most part, I outline it in my head and then just write. Depending on how detailed the story is, for example, if I’m doing a series of more than 3 books then I do character profiles. It not only helps me but I think readers like to learn more about the characters too.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I do both. It just happens.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are Richelle Mead and J.A. Huss. Both have different and unique style of writing that I like.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Being in control of when I publish and how, it’s something that you don’t get to have by being traditionally published. This works better for me and I like to have that freedom.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
It’ll keep changing. There’s nothing you can do about that except be as ready as you can to go along with it as it changes.
