Author Bio:
Reading, watching movies, and being unable to find exactly the thing she wanted to read have led Iyana to write her own stories, mostly about man-on-man romance that has fascinated her since as early as the Starsky and Hutch era. Teaching and writing English course books during the day, Iyana spend her nights mostly dreaming of love stories between two men who are protective toward each other.
What inspires you to write?
Basically the books I read, e.g. Famous Five when I was still a kid and Lord of the Rings. But the one inspired me to start writing intensively is Lord of the Rings.
Tell us about your writing process.
I have to have a short outline in my brain though it’s not too detailed. I don’t do the character mapping and so on. I tend to let my characters tell their story as I write along.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I usually just stay silent and imagine what they are talking or doing.
Who are your favorite authors?
Too many! I love Jeffrey Archer, JRRT, Lisa Kleypas, etc.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
It must be my colleague at the office who kept pushing and pushing for me not to just let my stories collecting dust in the virtual storage room.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think e-books will still be there for some time but printed books will also still be loved by many.
