What inspires you to write?
When I either watch the news or read news articles online, I look for interesting stories which would make a great horror story. There will be times when I’m at work and an idea pops in my head. I work out the outline while working and then when I get home I write it down. I will be watching a movie and think I can make a better story. So I do.
Tell us about your writing process.
Most of the stories get developed while I’m sleeping and I dream the story from the beginning to end. Luckily, I’m not one of those people who forget everything they dream. I haven’t written an outline down on a piece of paper in decades. All of my ideas are in my my brain.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
It isn’t uncommon for me to yell at my characters when I’m writing.
Who are your favorite authors?
Stephen King, Dean Koontz, MP Johnson, R. Karl Largent, Rod Serling, Ray Bradbury, H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I went down the self-publish path. I want complete control of my writing. Some authors wait years to get their work published. I want it published for my readers the moment I feel it’s the best that I can present it.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I’m hoping eBooks will be popular for years to come. Since all of my books are available in paperback and I do a lot of public appearances, I want paperbacks to dominate again.
What genres do you write?
Horror, science fiction and fantasy
