Tell Me You Love Me by Mahogany SilverRain
A paranormal romance novella series.
Breaking the laws of magic, a supernatural serial killer is set free in Atlanta, Georgia.
Special Agent Kenya Clark of the GBI Paranormal Crimes Investigation Unit has been given the case. Her assigned partner, Darrin Selinsky, hates everything supernatural after he was duped by a very crafty witch. The victims are all men and their bodies have been drained, leaving mummified corpses. Darrin, whose background involves Egyptology, confirms this is not an Egyptian mummifying process. Kenya has a gift that allows her to touch objects at the crime scene and view the crime through the eyes of the victim. However, this time she views it through the eyes of the killer. Kenya and Darrin do not get along at first, but when her powers draws Darrin to her as part of her ‘vision’, to solve the crime, they must work together to find Kenya’s connection to the killer and stop it before it kills again.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I love watching television shows about solving crimes, so one day I thought well what if the crime was a supernatural one? How would one go about solving it? My conclusion, a detective or law enforcement officer with a supernatural ability. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is a real place here in Georgia, so I used it for the inspiration of heroine, Kenya Clark who is an agent of GBI in what I added for fictional purposes, the Paranormal Crimes Investigation Unit.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I based some of the main characters on people I know who practice Santeria, Voodoo, etc. and based my characters, Maman Brida and Mam'zelle Roca on them. Kenya has a bit of myself in her personality, but she is a Mambo, a priestess and I am not. My father is former law enforcement and I have had some law enforcement in my background so Kenya's father is based on my dad and a few people I know. Darrin and Deputy Director Daniel Michaels are based on my husband's personality.

Fear and panic hit him as he tried to push her off, she held him fast her mouth pressed firmly over his, swallowing his life essence until he became a lifeless corpse. Her body and eyes glowed white as her long tongue flickered gingerly licking her full lips. Now sated, she dressed and headed for the door, pausing to gaze at herself in the dresser mirror. "You are beautiful my dear," she whispered. Her appearance slowly began to change, revealing her true self, her brown skin turned copper and scaly, the color of an old penny. Her braids became long, wavy jet black hair that fell smoothly to her waist. Her eyes became golden in color, small black horns protruded both sides of her forehead, her teeth, long and sharp behind full lips. Her long tail with a small tuft of black hair at the tip, swished playfully behind her. Her body, curvy like a human woman in all the right places, with the exception of her claws, which protruded through her fingertips like tiny black daggers. With a haunting laugh, she disappeared into the night.
