What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
If you're familiar with my writing then you know that a lot of my heroes start out as secondary characters in prior books. Sax first made an appearance way back in Furious, book 3 in my Nomad Outlaws Trilogy. Since then he and Holly have been players in books 1-3 of my Desert Rebels MC Series and I felt that they deserved their own story. A lot has happened to them up to this point, especially to Holly, and I wanted readers to see them get their HEA.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
All stories need their heroes and heroines, and the players who support them while adding depth to the plot line. Sax and Holly began their journey in Furious, book 3 of my Nomad Outlaws Trilogy. Holly was Bailey's best friend and a key secondary character who was kidnapped and held at a brothel. Sax was part of the Desert Rebels crew that ended up rescuing her.

I watched Bobbie for a minute as she carefully walked up the stairs carrying my most precious cargo. But no sooner had she disappeared around the corner than Sax appeared. His gaze automatically came to me, and I caught my breath and stood up. His expression was still raw and angry, his eyes hard, glittering orbs of burnt sienna that scorched me where I stood. He looked like he wanted to hit something or hurt someone.
He wanted to hurt me.
Like I had hurt him.
I swung around to leave, my heart racing with a fear that I'd never felt before with Sax. I didn't know this man, the one storming down the steps in his haste to reach me before I made it outdoors. His boots stomped loudly behind me, and I knew that he was catching up, and then he was upon me, flipping me around and slamming me up against the wall next to the door. My gaze flew up to the hate in his, my breath coming hard.
"Sax—"
He slammed his fist against the wall next to my head. "I fucking loved you!" he hissed down into my face, his nostrils flaring.
A sob escaped me as I tried to hold back my emotions. His pain was tangible, tearing me apart, because I'd caused it. His face was so close to mine that I felt his breath against me. I felt boxed in, even though his arms weren't trapping me against the wall. I watched his eyes drift over my face and down to where my blouse was still opened. I'd forgotten to do up the buttons after feeding Ava. His eyes lingered on the swell of my breasts above my bra. My whimper drew his gaze back up to mine.
"I fucking loved you," he repeated in a guttural snarl, drawing back when he realized that he was scaring me.
I sucked in air, keeping my back to the wall, trying to calm my racing heart. He'd loved me? As in past tense. He'd moved on, just as I'd told him to do. As he continued to stare at me I wiped my tears away and took a trembling breath, determined to get the words out that I needed to. I wanted him to know the truth. Not because I wanted to hurt him more, but because he deserved to know.
"And I still love you."
