What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired to write this book following my retirement from the U.S. Army after 27 years of service. As I shared stories with fellow Soldiers and my family they all encouraged me to write a book. I initially sat down to write a letter to my oldest son, in an effort to explain why I missed so much of his young life. The letter turned into the outline for the book and it grew from there.
