What inspires you to write?
My diagnosis of Stage 3 Infiltrating Ductile Carcinoma (Breast Cancer) inspired me to write my book. I wanted others who are going through a serious illness to know that you can turn a negative situation into a positive one. Moreover, you are a role model for others.
Tell us about your writing process.
This book came to life because I took pictures of the various changes that my body went through while taking chemotherapy treatments, surgeries, and radiation treatments. Moreover, I decided to volunteer at a chemotherapy lab and share my journal with patients after I was diagnosed to be cancer-free in December 2014.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are Jodi Piccoult and Jim Stovall. I have read several books by Jodi Piccoult but one of my favorites is "The Pact". I also thoroughly enjoyed "Wisdom for Winners" by Jim Stovall.
