What inspires you to write?
I’ve always had stories crowding my head. Sometimes it seemed like I lived more in my fantasy world than reality! Sharing them with others brings me great joy. As an erotic author, at first I wrote my own personal fantasies down on the page, but now it’s developed and evolved into more sophisticated story-telling.
Tell us about your writing process.
I have always been a “pantser” but recently an agent asked me to provide her with the plot summary for a trilogy, so I had to learn to plot in advance. It was quite a challenge for my unstructured brain! I do think learning to plot will make my writing easier going forward.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My characters talk to me, usually in the shower, when I’m driving or when I’m lying awake in the morning, but haven’t crawled out of bed yet!
Who are your favorite authors?
I love Kresley Cole, Joanna Bourne, Cherise Sinclair for mainstream romance. I love all the other authors in my erotic romance niche, particularly Aubrey Cara and Annabel Joseph.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I found a publisher in my niche, and the rest was history. I am just now trying my hand at self-pubbing.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I’m excited to see how it continues to morph and grow!
