What inspires you to write?
I am inspired to write by my dreams, watching movies, listening to music, and things that happen in life that I like to do the "what if" this happened to make it interesting.
Tell us about your writing process.
I am an outliner and I like to hand write out my story to get the juices flowing with my creativity and imagination. I do sit and write a little sketch about each character and how they will interact with one another. My first novel came to me in a dream. I woke up out my sleep and wrote the synopsis and draft outline as the scenes were in my dream.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I do listen to my characters. It was funny when I first started writing my story Deceitful Secrets. I went through a period of writers block because I refuse to follow the lead of my characters. I had made up my mind that I am writing this story regardless of the characters directions. But it was m y dreams that came alive with the story that I allowed my characters to tell the story.
