Author Bio:
Nancy Heaps is a multifaceted Christian writer first published in 2007 (under a former married name, Burgen). She’s deeply passionate about her spiritual faith journey. While she doesn’t consider herself ‘religious’, she does share a deep connection with Christ. Her goal in writing is to share Jesus’ love and tell how Holy Spirit is presently active in all our lives today. Nancy loves to travel and explore this great country. She enjoys rock hounding and metal detecting – it’s something about the mystery of finding those “hidden” things…
What inspires you to write?
Nature and being outdoors does wonders for me! I am inspired by the wonders of Yahweh – how He is presently active in our lives.
Tell us about your writing process.
I journal (hand write) everything first. Sometimes I am just venting but often (when I look back at what I've written), I see a story or a prayer in the midst of the notes.
Who are your favorite authors?
I like so many different ones! Mark Batterson: Chase the Lion, & Soul Print. Heidi Baker: Birthing the Miraculous. James & Michal Goll: God Encounters. Andrew Muller: He Used a Stone. Michael Van Vlymen: How to See in the Spirit. Abraham John: Keys to Passing Your Spiritual Tests. Venetia Carpenter: Life Outside the Matrix. ETC!
How did you decide how to publish your books?
My first book was published by Xulon. I didn't sell many copies, probably because I relied on them to market it instead of doing it myself. This time I wanted an easier, more cost-effective way, so I chose Amazon.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think it looks promising. People continue to search for meaning and purpose in life.
What genres do you write?
Christian, Non-Ficition
What formats are your books in?
eBook, Print
