Author Bio:
I have published seven collections of short stories and two novellas in the 7 years I have been writing speculative fiction. All of these are on Amazon.
I have been a regular contributor to the Antipodean SF, Beam Me Up Pod Cast, and Farther Stars Than These sites. I have also been published on Bewildering Stories, 365 Tomorrows, the WiFiles, and the former Golden Visions magazine.
I have written three sci-fi series: the 12 part “Alien Hunter” series for then Golden Visions Magazine in 2011/12, the “Trathh” series for the Beam Me Up Pod Cast site in 2012/13, and the “Human Hunter” series also for the Beam Me Up site in 2014/15.
Currently I am working on a new science fiction collection of short stories as yet unnamed.
What inspires you to write?
I’ve long been a lover of speculative fiction and its great to give something back to the genre with my writing.
Tell us about your writing process.
I write quite a lot of flash fiction ande this tends to be seat of the pants. With longer stories and novella I do tend to use a broad but very flexible outline. I keep a list of all my ideas in a word doc. I CREATE CHARACTER SKETCHES BOTH BEFORE AND DURING MY WRITING.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I often put myself in the position of my main characters. How might I react in such circumstances.
Who are your favorite authors?
Isaac Asimov, Arthur C Clark, A E Van Vogt, Philip K Dick
How did you decide how to publish your books?
My first book was with a publisher but all others have been self published. It’s preferable to have a good publisher behind you but this can be easier said than done. Self publishing and marketing is hard work.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
There will always be books and book publishing.
What genres do you write?
Science Fiction, Science Fantasy, Alternate History
What formats are your books in?
eBook, Print
