Author Bio:
Bob Brown was born and raised in western Massachusetts (USA) and still resides in the city of his birth. He enjoys reading, writing and following sports – especially the NY Yankees. His favorite authors are Robert Frost, CS Lewis, Thomas Merton and Philip Yancey to name a few.
Poetry has been a passion of Bob’s for over ten years and he has penned thousands of poems. Poems about nature, about events, about places, about seasons, about life and about his faith.
Bob is an old-fashioned kind of guy who strives to limit the role of technology in his life. His poems are relaxing and inspirational.
What inspires you to write?
Mostly, the Holy Spirit. I tend to write a lot of poems about nature and my surroundings.
Tell us about your writing process.
I journal, filling several books per year. I constantly write in metered poetic form and I use an old fashioned pen and paper technique.
Who are your favorite authors?
CS Lewis, Thomas Merton, Brother Nee, Robert Frost and Poe.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I am not a computer person so my brother helped me with the publishing aspects. He used Amazon to publish my E-Book and CreateSpace as the prtiner.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I am a fan of real books and I hope they survive but I know that E-Books are more popular now. I am however delighted that E-Books have given self-publishers and Indie writers a marketplace to share their creative work.
