What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I've been an enthusiastic reader of romance novels my entire life, especially paranormal romances, and I've also spent countless hours binge-watching shows and movies about vampires and shifters—Twilight, Vampire Diaries, True Blood, you name it. Despite the plethora of fantastic books on the market, I often found myself searching for an epic and steamy vampire romance that could truly fulfill the fantasies in my mind. Eventually, when life finally gave me a breather, I took the leap and decided to write the kind of high-heat, paranormal romance that, as a reader, I've always longed for. It wasn't long before Forgotten Storm was born, and the process of writing this series has been an exhilarating journey!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
In the book "Forgotten Storm," Nicole serves as a reflection of myself, embodying both qualities I possess and those I aspire to have. She possesses immense strength, determination, and a clever wit that often leaves me wishing I had come up with her sarcastic remarks myself on my own interactions. However, Nicole also carries deep emotional scars, which make her cautious in extending her trust to others. She evolved gradually in my imagination, making her a truly special character that will forever hold a place in my heart. In fact, I love her so much that I have decided to create a spin-off series where Nicole and Logan will make appearances throughout the books.
Speaking of Logan, he personifies the archetypal brooding, overprotective, and dominant Alpha male, willing to go to great lengths and even sacrifice everything for the woman he loves. Interestingly, Logan came to me in dreams long before I translated him onto paper. It was the depiction of Logan in these dreams that served as the inspiration for the intense chemistry and passion present in "Forgotten Storm."
