Interview with Author – Karen Goeller
Karen Goeller, CSCS, has educated thousands in the fitness and gymnastics industries with her books, articles, and in person. She has been training athletes since 1978 and adults since 1985. Karen Goeller is the author of more gymnastics books than anyone in the USA.
Since the beginning, Karen Goeller’s books have been used as references by fitness experts and coaches to create countless training programs. Her books have been called the “most useful on the market.”
When she was involved in an accident in 2000 and suffered permanent spinal damage she stopped working. To remain involved in gymnastics and fitness, Karen turned to writing. “I felt like I had a ton of information in my head that was not being used. I knew it was the perfect time to pass on this knowledge and writing books was the perfect avenue.”
It wasn’t until the Swing Set Fitness books in 2006 that Karen started to make great progress with her physical rehabilitation. Karen shared, “I finally felt like myself again. I knew I was getting stronger, mentally and physically.” When asked if she is completely healed from the accident, Karen replied, “I am still injured, but that no longer defines me.”
Karen has produced State Champions, National TOPS Team Athletes, and Empire State Games Athletes. Three National Champions were from Karen’s gymnastics club. Most of her success was after her 1991 cancer surgery.
Before her surgery, Karen was told that she would be bed-ridden for the rest of her life by many doctors. The cancer surgery was a success, but Karen was left with lymphedema in her leg. Her leg was as wide as her waist immediately after the surgery. Karen has written a book on her life since the surgery, “Lymphedema: Sentenced to Life in Bed, but I Escaped.”
Karen Goeller and her athletes have been featured on TV, radio, and in the newspapers since the 1990’s. She has appeared on Good Morning America, GoodDay NY, Eyewitness News, and NY Views (old show) among others. They have also been featured in The NY Times, NY Newsday, Brooklyn Bridge Magazine, Interview Magazine, and most of the Brooklyn, NY newspapers.

Besides all of the interviews, Karen is an actor and has had roles on a variety of TV shows and in movies. Recently Karen was the producer, director, and instructor for a children’s production through the Incrediflix company. Check out her IMDB page too. She is a Member of NY Women in Film & TV.
Karen has worked for world famous Olympic coach, Bela Karolyi and was the first female camp director. Before earning her BA Degree, Karen’s education included training as an EMT, Physical Therapist, and Nutritionist. She has had certifications such as EMT-D, Nutritional Analysis, Fitness Trainer, many USAG certifications, and the NSCA-CSCS certification.
And in recent years, Karen returned to school to become a paralegal. She enjoyed her work in the legal industry, but has returned her focus to her passions, the sports and film industries.

Interview with Author – Vanja Skoric
I am a human rights lawyer, civil rights volunteer and mother of two, with a passion for writing, originally from Croatia. I am currently working in a non profit organisation and doing a PhD at the Civic AI Lab in the Netherlands. I enjoy combining my human rights work with promoting social change, especially including children. I always strive to provide children with information and knowledge about how they can make a meaningful contribution to a better world, without feeling lost or overwhelmed.
Interview with Author – Carolyn Muradian
Carolyn is the mother of six children; one boy and five girls. Empty nesters, she lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with her husband, Krikor, and their precious Boston terrier, Anoosh. One of her greatest joys has always been watching children discover what their world is all about. Little did she realize these observations would become an invaluable resource for her writing. It was her granddaughter, Macy, who has Down syndrome, that inspired her to write Is Being Different a Good Thing to Be? Anyone who reads a Macy book is bound to be captivated by the curious and charming character.
Writing does not come easily for Carolyn, but the pain and agony of the journey, if you make it to the end, carry a zillion rewards. One of her favorite times to remember was when Carolyn wrote and co-published with one of her daughters the Mother and Daughter Designs series. Included in the fourteen titles they created is the original and unforgettable Heaven’s Grocery Store. She is making preparations for its rerelease.
When Carolyn can find the time, she spends it doing her second favorite thing to do, needlework. She was nine years old. Her grandmother was teaching her how to cut a pattern out of a newspaper and turn it into her dream dress, when she was bitten by the sewing bug. It wasn’t long before she began teaching herself, eventually learning the entire array of needlework. Her current goal is to finish some family quilts she started; fourteen to be exact.
Currently her mind is focused on Is Being Different a Good Thing to Be?, her first Macy book. Following her natural inclination, she has learned from scratch how to create a website, add an email list, embed links and setup media platforms (you get the picture) all this while she writes. Carolyn strives to create a book that is not only exhilarating, humorous and heartwarming, but woven into the story so as not to be intrusive, a spattering of educational tools and descriptive language.
She’ll soon be introducing a new, children’s, picture book series. Already written and illustrated are the first three books. A fourth is waiting for final touches. Children are going to enjoy following this delightfully, dapper character, Bingo Boo, as he ventures through his whimsical, wonky world.
Interview with Author – Jamee Natella
Jamee Natella – Author & Global Storyteller
Jamee Natella is a film, commercial, and live event producer whose career has taken her around the world. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she has lived in Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo, immersing herself in diverse cultures along the way. Her global adventures inspired her passion for storytelling, particularly after traveling with her curious young son, Sam.
Sam’s endless questions about different cultures—why some countries have kings and queens instead of presidents, why people drive on the left side of the street, or why chopsticks are used instead of forks—sparked Jamee’s realization that there was a gap in the marketplace for books that help children understand cultural diversity and global traditions.
Determined to fill that gap, Jamee created Worldride Adventures, a brand dedicated to inspiring curiosity about the world through engaging stories, cultural education, and immersive experiences. Its flagship project is her debut children’s book Sam in London: Cheeky Kids, Medieval Blokes, and Giant Trousers, the first in a three-book series. The book playfully explores cultural differences through the eyes of an adventurous American boy navigating life in London.
Beyond the books, Worldride Adventures features an immersive website, a backpack line, and a global newsletter aimed at helping children ages 6-12 explore cultural diversity in a fun and relatable way. Through its charitable arm, Worldride Impact, Jamee’s mission extends even further—providing grants that allow underserved children to experience cultural travel, whether virtually or in real life.
When she’s not producing films, commercials, or live events—or developing new stories—Jamee enjoys hiking, reading in the sunshine, traveling, and embracing her favorite role: being a mom to her now 16-year-old son, Sam. Sam also serves as Chair of the Youth Consumer Board for Worldride Adventures, keeping Jamee connected to pop culture and ensuring her brand stays relevant and relatable to today’s youth. His perspective helps shape her creative work and keeps her continuously inspired to explore new stories and cultural experiences.
