“I would like to share that my son is featured as a Youth Luminary for his courageous rise against bullying and for his passion for helping raise awareness for the power of dance for all those with special challenges.” – Victoria

As a work at home parent what is your biggest challenge?
As a work at home parent, my biggest challenge is finding a quiet area to write and conduct interviews. With 5 children, it can be very noisy and distracting at home. Quite often, business phone calls are made from my car! My younger children do not understand that I am working from a home office, therefore, interruptions are frequent. Nonetheless, with organization and determination, I am able to succeed as a work at home parent.
What is the biggest advantage to being a work at home parent?
The biggest advantage to being a work at home parent is that I can schedule around the needs of my family which allows me to be an active part of my children’s lives.
As a work at home parent what advice would you give other work at home parents?
I would advise other work at home parents to schedule “office hours” which fit into the hectic lives of your children. Another bit of advice would be to fall in love with your crock pot. By doing so, I am able to prepare home cooked meals which we can enjoy as a family each evening.
