Kidnapped off a horrid ship, Emery thinks her salvation is near until she is dropped off with a recluse miner. They’ve taken the wrong woman, and this man wants nothing to do with her. How can she rescue her sister and get them home? Keeping the wrong identity might work, but everything just got worse.
Stand alone, clean with a touch of pepper, happy-ending romance.
Some PG-13 themes.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Visiting the 1849 gold rush towns around northern California. The history, the resilience of the people (women!) were hard not to bring into the light.
And give a few happy endings.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Honorable Dr. Morgan Hastings was a survivor of the war against Mexico. Like many in history, he followed the western claims of gold in every stream. Emery was also brought to America as her father came to make a living for his family.
