What inspires you to write?
Working online in this fast paced industry I find inspiration everyday. There are innovations and new technologies that I like to keep up with my reading. In enjoying reading so much I also wanted to share from my own experiences. Being in the industry for over 17 years I have been able to grow many brands and wanted to give others the same formula to grow as well. I finally decided to write my own book about content marketing since it is a big part of my career and success.
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process starts with an outline of what points I really want to cover. Then it moves on to finding the perfect examples so that anyone can see it in front of them and know how to implement these strategies for themselves. I wanted to make the book engaging and easy for everyone.
What advice would you give other writers?
Focus on the bigger picture first. Ask yourself, What do you want to teach people with your book? Then outline your main points and those can then turn into your main chapters. Make sure when they leave your book you have answered all of their questions.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Amazon makes it easy to self-publish. I am a big believer in getting my projects out there and this is the fastest way to spread my book. It is available on the Kindle, iPad, iPhone, Android, and that was another attractive feature that Amazon offers. Being in online marketing it is important to have your book available and downloadable online.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think much of it will change to be online.
