What inspires you to write?
Nothing in particular, whatever sets the mood keeps me going.
Tell us about your writing process.
I have never outlined any project on a medium, never felt the need to do so. The idea just resides in my mind and it works fine for me. As they say, you don't write the story but the story writes itself. So let it flow and guide you till the end.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I have never been that involved with my characters that they embody my psyche but yeah they do have their own twists and turns that they bring into the plot. We think of writing it a certain way but end up writing another which is a bewildering phenomenon in itself.
Who are your favorite authors?
I like Chetan Bhagat, R.K. Narayan, William Shakespeare, John Keats, and a few others.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
The first book that I started is a book of translation from French to English. I was approached by a publishing group for the same. They also happen to be horror and occult specialist that inspired me to write my second book with a different publishing company in the same genre.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
E-books are more in fashion these days with the change in technology and the evolved trends of publishing. They are more easy to market and cost-effective but the paperbacks have their own touch and feel. The book lovers will always cherish to include it in their physical libraries as a prized possession.
What genres do you write?
Horror, children books, nonfiction, rom-com, translation, comedy, poetry. I like experimenting and switching in between different genres. Variety is the spice of life.
