What inspires you to write?
My travels, and the people I met on my travels. I am interested in the way people live in other countries.
Tell us about your writing process.
I know the ending before I start. That’s all. I go round in circles, fleshing characters and events out.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
No. I let my fingers run away with me, and sometimes I am surprised to read the results.
What advice would you give other writers?
Find a good writing group or a writing buddy and give back as much support as you get. Learn to delete paragraphs, pages or even whole chapters when they don’t move the story forward. Then sit down and rewrite them. Rewrite, tear up and rewrite until you are satisfied.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
My second romance, The Rescued Heart, is published by The Wild Rose Press. I feel more confident having been through the editing process and having the backing of a publisher..
However, when I retrieved the rights to my first romance, Enchantment in Morocco, from an unsatisfactory publisher, I decided to self-publish on Kindle because I wanted my story to be out there for readers. I still had my original Word document and the process was much easier than I expected.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Good luck to any indie authors. The struggle will be to stand out from the crowd.

Professional Editor, Professional Cover Designer, Beta Readers

Contemporary and historical romance
