Author Bio:
I have been a freelance writer since 1980, with over 1,000 feature, nature, science and inspirational articles, children’s animal and adventure stories, young adult fantasy stories, and song publishing credits, including a cookbook: Healthy Gourmet Cheesecakes, Simple Recipes for Sensational Cheesecakes published by Avery Publishing in 1998 (ISBN#0-89529-783-3), a series of five children’s books, published by San Min Publishing in Taiwan in 2006, a fantasy trilogy called Land Behind the Veil, an autobiography titled Sky Eyes and a book on Runes titled Before There Were Words: Energetic Meaning of Runes. As an AOL writing mentor for over 7 years, I’ve had extensive editing experience.
What inspires you to write?
Nature and life events inspire me to write.
Tell us about your writing process.
I tend to think through themes until a sen or character comes clear. Then the writing seems to happen more or less by itself.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I listen to my characters a lot, especially if I hit a spot where I'm not sure what would happen next. Listening to the characters helps me figure that out.

I just looked around to see what avenues were available
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think it will continue in many ways. Though I don;t think traditional books will ever disappear completely, I know a lot of people like to have the option of digital and/or recorded books.
