What inspires you to write?
I’ve always enjoyed exploring new worlds and writing opens up limitless possibilities.
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing process starts with 2-3 exciting scenes. Then I outline the roadmap of the story and create character bios. The rest of the story veers more towards seat of your pants hijinx as the characters attempt to follow the outline.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Listen, they’re a lot more exciting and mischievous!
What advice would you give other writers?
Write daily and stick with it. Perseverance and hard work usually pays off in the end.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
After years of trying to land an agent to hopefully sign with the big publishing houses, I researched tons of options and decided on a small indie publisher.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Unless the big publishing houses take note of the changes occurring in the recording, movie, and publishing industries and start to change to keep pace with consumer preferences, they’ll continue to lose market share.
