What inspires you to write?
I think the higher power, Spirituality, truly guided me to write. My first passion I found, when I was a little boy, was Art.
In my younger years, I also use to play with my toys, and create stories as I imitate the characters. Writing then came along but I never knew I was a writer, until later on in life. I knew the way, I use to create these stories in my mind as a little boy, while playing with my toys or just creating these interesting stories in my mind, Especially now that I look back, at those memories, I knew that was a gift.
Tell us about your writing process.
I'm always inspired by all kinds of things, like the people I see in public. I'm also inspired by nature and movies, spirituality, music also. So that's how my Arts came to life but also my book, 'Sweet September.' Also i mostly just create from my mind, what ever ideas comes to me, but mostly from inspirations all around me. I guess I'm more of a,'Seat Of The Pants Writer,' cause I just go, it just flows. I do my writings on a ,'Google Docs,' that has templates. I create character sketches, doing my writing.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My book, 'Sweet September,' is a Fictional story. My characters, i see their personalities in my mind, and so as I'm writing, I find myself imitating them. I do that when I'm reading other Authors Novels too, it's like watching a movie. I always enjoy escaping into that book, picturing the scene in my mind and the characters.
Who are your favorite authors?
It's been a while since I read a Novel. Along time ago, I read, 'Man Under The Mistletoe,' by Debra Carroll.
It's a Fictional Temptation Novel. It was a very good steaming Novel. I truly escaped into this book.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
When I first started creating,'Sweet September,' I only had it on my blog but never thought to get it Self Published. I always wanted to get my books published but never thought, 'Sweet September,' will be the book that i would of published. I heard so much about Self Publishing on Amazon and seen Self Published Authors, on Face Book. I got so inspired by them. A few of my friends, read 'Sweet September,' that I wrote on my blog, a Short Fiction Story. They loved the story, So i thought, 'how cool will it be, to make this into a book.' I never knew that Amazon and Kindle was free, to Self Published. I like that Amazon and Kindle, a few other sites, gives Authors that excess to Self Published their work for free. When the customers, buy the Author book, the site takes out the printing cost, out the Author sales. It's truly a very good deal and the Author is able to still make money.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I'm not sure what the future holds, but I hope that, there will be many more platforms for authors, to express them selves. Platforms where Authors can promote them selves more and more. Sites where Authors can come together, supporting each other without no competition but coming together in unity.
