What inspires you to write?
I was actually inspired by other famous authors like Dan Brown, J.K Rowling, John Grisham etc…
I’ve always wanted to create impact in the world by adding my innermost feelings, and the easiest way was to actually come up with a book to tackle the perception of humanity.
My philosophy of life is: “We can only lead a positive life by being optimistic.” And I therefore wanted to bring people in a world of fantasy through my novels and self-help books to allow them to view life in a much simple way and also to unlock the ‘Genius’ within them.
Tell us about your writing process.
“It is actually very easy to write, but not easy to become an author.”
An author is all about emotions and feelings they wish to share to the readers’ community. An author needs to carrying out his notepad as we cannot actually planned when we are going to write or when we are going to be inspired by something. The ‘thing’ is that we authors, we might be inspired by even the most stupid thing and I believe this is what makes some different from others. We are all unique in this world to contribute our part in making the world a better place to live, so.. I guess we authors contribute our best by writing and inspiring others.
I don’t really do any sketches for my character but I surely have a good image of how my characters looks like in my novels. I actually keep all my ideas in my journal or notepads and expand on them when the inspiration comes. I don’t really plan when I’m going to write because I don’t really feel it’s the right way of going with writing a book. What I actually do is to write the moment I get that adrenaline rush which makes me want to conquer the world. That feeling which I’ve always quoted as “World-Beater” is one which best decribes when we are supposed to start and not. This is when all the ideas start to flourish and flow… It might happened during a movie or by reading another book or by being inspired by someone else’s achievements.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Writing a fiction is a complete different thing, I would say, we somehow need to self-talk a lot to be able to fit in the diverse characters and understand their perspectives in the book. And most of the time, we try to use someone in our surrounding -a close friend or acquaintance- as a base to develop a character. It is much easier to go this way as we have a reference and a proper image of who are we referring to compared when we go completely the fictitious way.
But I guess many authors have their different way of going with it.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favourite author is Dan Brown. I love the genre he writes and the way he actually positioned his characters in his books and this is the reason why he is the best author of all time.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I have actually contacted several publisher in different countries and got onto one which made me an offer which I could not go against. I took it and till now everything seems to be on cloud nine with the marketing and expansion in all the different countries across the globe.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I actually think that in some more decades the traditional publishing house will be vanished and most of us will either be switching to self-publishing or e-books. I’ve realised that e-book is actually becoming more and more popular especially after Amazon introduced the kindle.
What genres do you write?
fiction, self-help, suspense
What formats are your books in?
Both eBook and Print
