Author Bio:
Kirtaime grew up in the country outskirts of Bristol. After his military career he settled with his family in Germany. Wanting to write fantasy-fiction books was a childhood dream which he only decided to make come true in 2013 with his first book, the award winning ‘The Perennial Migration’ – A mixture of adventure, conspiracy, legend, space travel all in one pot being stirred by hungry reptilians and cooled by heroes.
What inspires you to write?
Being outdoors and surrounded by nature.
Tell us about your writing process.
While I did have a basic outline for the story, with the character profiles already established I was able to freely write the adventure chapter after chapter.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
No, instead I work on the character profiles first thing before proceeding with the story itself.
Who are your favorite authors?
Dean Koontz. One of my favourites was False Memory. His early books such as Whispers are ones I could certainly read over and over again.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
It was the Self-Publishing service offer by Amazon which was the deciding factor for publishing my book. Later I also self-published on other platforms such as Smashwords
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Traditional publishers, if offering similar self-service online functions for authors, can increase their future market share
