What inspires you to write?
The difficult times in my life. It is cathartic to take something painful and use it as the clay to form something beautiful out of.
Tell us about your writing process.
I am still figuring this out, but I jump between outlining and writing specific scenes as inspiration hits. I try to do some character outlining also before I get to far into the writing process.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Absolutely. Most of-no all of, my dialog is me talking to myself as if I were the different characters.
Who are your favorite authors?
Marion Zimmer Bradley, Greg Egan, Terry Pratchett, and Gregory Maguire
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I decided to self-publish because of the difficulty in getting a traditional publisher to even look at your book. I am not against traditional publishing, but if I am going to put in that much work, I might as well get my book out for someone to read while I'm waiting to be discovered.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think it is easier than ever to self publish well and get a book out for people to read. It is also more difficult to gather interest. I think there will always be a market for books, though more and more people turn to TV and movies for entertainment.
What genres do you write?
Inspirational, Christian Fiction, Women's Literature
What formats are your books in?
eBook, Print
