Bianca Nemes Author Bio:
My name is Bianca Nemes and my aspiration is to help and inspire people with an idea, an advise, an emotion. I was born in Cluj-Napoca, in Romania, I am a computer science graduated and I work at a multinational company.
My passions are writing, reading, painting, walking., exploring. Besides the interest for exact science, I love psychology. I am student at psychology university and I learn to be better and better in this domain. Mind, emotions, human behaviors, patterns are few of the fields that make me get up in the morning and continue studying, learning. It is an intrinsic motivation to discover, to create and to be.
My first book merge many of my interests, namely psychology, writing of course :), painting and the ideas are correlated in a logical way. ‘Collinearity solution. Counterpoint’ is the name of my first book and I am writing for the next one.
What inspires you to write?
I get inspired by my emotions, by human behaviors, by anything that is inexplicable or truly intense. Writing has a cathartic effect on me and is now, also, a part of me.
Whenever I feel confusion or a feeling that is not clear, I start to analyze it and to try to understand what is happening. Observing other people is fascinating and it is a real source of inspiration.
Values as truth, love are other aspects which I truly find important and which gives me the power to write.
Tell us about your writing process.
My writing style has been developed a lot during my general school and highschool. I have been participating to literature contests and won some prizes. I have read many literary criticism and the requirements that I had to do improved a lot my style and sensitivity. After these experiences that helped me a lot and that I enjoyed, I started to write in a notebook about what I was feeling and about life questions. I still have that notebook and I fill in with what I feel in the current period of time.
The dozens of books that I have read during time also improved a lot my way of thinking and living.
My inspiration comes from the sources that I enumerated at the previous question and I feel that the writing is like an instrument of expressing myself and of sharing thoughts, feelings, psychological facts. When I feel or observe something, I describe the moment or situation is details and I create a representation of what they mean. I use a lot of rhetorical questions for readers in order to help them redefine themselves and create their best version of being.
As process, I write by hand or I write on my computer in documents, it depends on my mood.
Who are your favorite authors?
Some of my favorite authors are Paulo Coelho, Hermann Hesse, Irvin D. Yalom, Emil Cioran.
They always inspire me with the subjects, vocabulary and the incursion into mind and psychological/philosophical aspects.
I have read almost all of their books and I can enumerate: 'Veronika decides to die' by Paulo Coelho, 'Steppenwolf' by Hermann Hesse, ' When Nietzsche Wept' by Irvin D. Yalom, 'Tratat de descompunere' by Emil Cioran. These books changed my way of seeing life sense and gave me the motivation and curiosity to discover myself and to be who I really am.
Through my writing, I try do the same with my readers, but with my own perceptions, which are also based on psychological aspects.
What genres do you write?
psychology, philosophy, creative psychology, non-fiction
How did you choose the genre(s) you write?
I did not choose them I think they have chosen me. They are part of being myself. They are my passions, my inspirations, my motives.
I use metaphors to describe scientific facts and I merge flourishes with the academic language in psychology.
It fits me the best. I just do not think about the manner I write, the words just flow when I have the idea.
What three things are on your writing desk at any given moment?
You can always find my notebook in which I write, a pen, a laptop, the books I read at that moment and a bottle of water or a cup of tea.
What hobbies do you have when you need a break from writing?
My other passions are painting, reading, walking and dancing.
I paint abstractly in oil or acrylic. I get inspired by nature and human existence. My cover book is a painting of mine, which I have made for the book in order to summarize its principle.
Walking is a daily activity which I enjoy and which relax me after a day full of activities.
Whenever I have the chance I dance, at home or at other events. I was a professional dancer and I enjoy it a lot.
Reading is also the activity that helps me a lot and that I find incredible.
