What inspires you to write?
I was slogging through a holiday read when I decided to write my own. I love everything apocalyptic so that ended up being the subject matter. Now I've got two books in the series finished and am writing the third.
Tell us about your writing process.
The first book was a seat of the pants book. I didn't know what was happening. It was both exciting and crazy. Thankfully it worked. The next two novels I wrote I tried the same theory. Didn't work. Haven't released them. Book two of the series was planned and I wrote it in a month. Most of the plans were thrown out the window and expanded on but it worked. Now I plan.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
No, I AM the characters. I inhabit them. I write them, I don't talk to them. They talk to me.
Who are your favorite authors?
Stephen King, George R R Martin, J K Rowling, Thomas Harris,Suzanne Collins. I loved to get whisked away into another world. The best books were the ones I couldn't put down. There really is something special about keeping the reader guessing.

Apocalyptic, Dystopian, Suspense, Thrillers
How did you choose the genre(s) you write?
It's the genre I'd love to read. If I go to a store that's where I'll gravitate. My book is the sort of book I'd pull off the shelf and buy. Everyone's vanished? Tick. Monsters in the world? Tick. Survival of a family? Tick. People die? Tick Funny, exciting and emoptional? Tick.
