Interview with Author – Roderick Edwards
Roderick Edwards (aka RoderickE) is a multi-genre author of over 30 books on topics as wide ranging as an autobiography of his being left for dead at the hospital at birth and his subsequent adoption at age 4 and reunion with his birth family at age 50. Or a series of books on WW2 cargo pilots that served in India with one of the men returning to the USA to develop the satellite program during the space race with the Soviets. RoderickE also has time travel fictions, books on politics, race relations, religion, philosophy, and poetry. Sometimes called the “Bansky of Books” due to his unexpected style that bypasses the cookie-cutter market-driven fare, you’ll be certain to find something you will enjoy, or you will dive into a new genre with seamless crossover.
Interview with Author – Kerry ONeal
My first two books were illustrated children’s books published by Lifevest Publishing in 2006. I wrote a short story in 2013 after my Mother succumbed to Alzheimer’s to commemorate her memory, which I completed in two days. Deciding to continue writing, I wrote another short story in one day. I finished eleven stories before publishing a book of 13 short stories, What If – An Anthology of 13 Short Stories, through Xlibris in Indiana. My Father was an author, concert pianist, artist, and dance instructor, and he always encouraged me to write until he died in 2003. Since then, I’ve written 15 books and haven’t stopped. My greatest influential authors are Micheal Crichton, Ann Rice, Stephen King, and Dean Koonce, with my favorite novel being All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque.
I was invited to the Spooky Empire Convention in 2018 and 2019, consecutively, as a guest speaker for Q&A sessions. I did several book signing tours before relocating to Illinois, where my family lives. I was interviewed by Kate Delaney in 2020 about my What If book and my latest novel, Nightmare, which has recently received three 5-star reviews from Reader’s Favorites. I published my book, Fractured Suture – Revelations of a Serial Killer, in 2023 for e-readers, soft covers, and hardback, in audiobook using a narrator from audible books. It received a 5-star review from Reader’s Favorites, as well. I was interviewed on a local FM radio station, Fox News from Rockford, IL. and CBS News out of Champaign. They are both available online for review. I’ve completed and published two more novels in late 2023 and 2024, Death is an Escape & Doppelganger, which received a 5-star review from Rader’s Favorites. Currently, I’m writing a science fiction thriller called Hoarder. The most important aspect of writing stories is constantly marketing your books and yourself because tens of thousands of books are published daily. I’ve written in almost every genre because my ultimate goal is to acquire as many readers as possible to enjoy reading my mind.
Interview with Author – Karen Goeller
Karen Goeller, CSCS, has educated thousands in the fitness and gymnastics industries with her books, articles, and in person. She has been training athletes since 1978 and adults since 1985. Karen Goeller is the author of more gymnastics books than anyone in the USA.
Since the beginning, Karen Goeller’s books have been used as references by fitness experts and coaches to create countless training programs. Her books have been called the “most useful on the market.”
When she was involved in an accident in 2000 and suffered permanent spinal damage she stopped working. To remain involved in gymnastics and fitness, Karen turned to writing. “I felt like I had a ton of information in my head that was not being used. I knew it was the perfect time to pass on this knowledge and writing books was the perfect avenue.”
It wasn’t until the Swing Set Fitness books in 2006 that Karen started to make great progress with her physical rehabilitation. Karen shared, “I finally felt like myself again. I knew I was getting stronger, mentally and physically.” When asked if she is completely healed from the accident, Karen replied, “I am still injured, but that no longer defines me.”
Karen has produced State Champions, National TOPS Team Athletes, and Empire State Games Athletes. Three National Champions were from Karen’s gymnastics club. Most of her success was after her 1991 cancer surgery.
Before her surgery, Karen was told that she would be bed-ridden for the rest of her life by many doctors. The cancer surgery was a success, but Karen was left with lymphedema in her leg. Her leg was as wide as her waist immediately after the surgery. Karen has written a book on her life since the surgery, “Lymphedema: Sentenced to Life in Bed, but I Escaped.”
Karen Goeller and her athletes have been featured on TV, radio, and in the newspapers since the 1990’s. She has had certifications such as EMT-D, Nutritional Analysis, Fitness Trainer, many USAG certifications, and the NSCA-CSCS certification.
And in recent years, Karen returned to school to become a paralegal. She enjoyed her work in the legal industry, but has returned her focus to her passions, the sports and film industries.

Interview with Author – Neil Vickers
Born in the late fifties, went to school in Derby England, mainly midstream education. It was a lack of concentration that made me lose my place at the top grammar school, the exams went disastrously wrong. It was never a good thing asking me to concentrate, my mind would always be somewhere else, thinking all the time about other things. Being at school was a secondary chore in place of a primary, although I was always marked good for turning in every day. I had little absences from school but juggled time between school and play. I was a bit arty and crafts at school was a subject I enjoyed, my teacher more or less begged me to go to art school as he said I was his best student in years but the lure of a city and guilds apprenticeship in plumbing and heating with wages outweighed the other of five years at art school with no incentive beyond that.
Nature was what I enjoyed when I was younger and all the books I read would have been linked to birds or animals. My early days would be spent walking in the countryside with my friends to see nature thriving around us. I still enjoy going out and getting as close to nature as I can.
I was busy after my apprenticeship finished whilst I tried to start my own business as a self-employed plumber installing central heating systems. I eventually moved into building work, a fairly natural progression into property and creating a portfolio of property rentals.
I started to write manuscripts on different subjects without publishing any of the unfinished work due to my workload that I had created, and time was not a luxury I could afford. I had not read novels as I was more interested in nature and I was fascinated by nature and its diversity. I would watch programs on animals, the ocean and its inhabitants, birds of all kinds from the biggest hawks and vultures down to the smallest hummingbirds. Reptiles were always something that I enjoyed reading about and the environments they lived in.
I spent the last thirty years building new houses and large care homes for the elderly and running the day-to-day administration of caring for the elderly residents. I started writing books again with a view to publishing them after the pandemic (Covid), it had given me a new lease of life to start writing again but this time not to just write a manuscript but to write it and publish it.
I seem to have been born with a gift of a creative mind and photographic memory, the books I write just seem to flow out my head as I am writing them. I seem to be able to write in any genre including fiction of course. I consider myself lucky as I have never read any fiction books. I find I do not affiliate my writing with any other author and do not mimic the style of any. I do my best to make a book exciting to read and entertaining for the reader.
I have two books currently in the worldwide market True Love Unlimited and True Love Unlimited The Conclusion. The latest book True Love Unlimited The Conclusion has won the gold prize for its genre Romance, Action, Thriller and I thank Chick Lit Café for giving me the first prize for my book.
I have just completed my new sci-fi book The Sixth Dimension Defined and will be published. We aim to release the new book for sale early July 2024.
