Interviews
Interview with Author – Jan Selbourne
I grew up in Melbourne, Australia and thank my parents and school teachers for encouraging my love of literature and history.
After graduating from business college, I worked in the dry world of ledgers and accounting, then joined the tide of Australians traveling to the UK for a working holiday. There, in front of me was the history I’d read about. I was hooked. Marriage and children came next, then back to work, which kept my urge to write on the backburner. On the point of retiring I changed course to accept a position as secretary for a large New South Wales, Historical Society. Now really retired I am finally indulging my love of writing and travelling.

Interview with Author – Emily Vansant
The first book I wrote was nonfiction, “A Widow’s Egyptian Adventure. ” I had it published, after that I said to myself: If I can write one book,I can write another. My next book was a paranormal romance for young adults. “Star’s Gift. I wrote book 2 “Star’s Return,” and then book 3 “Star’s Visions.
After that I translated a memoir written by Dr. John R Tapia, my uncle. “The Compromised Land.”
Lastly I wrote another nonfiction, “Friends Until The End.” I haven’t started on my next book yet.
Interview with Author – J. J. Sorel
I write steamy romance. Often heavy on mystery and rather dark. My first book Thornhill Trilogy introduces the self-made, sexy billionaire sexy Aidan Thornhill. When he becomes obsessed with his inexperienced and innocent PA her life changes forever—from one of poverty to a fairy tale existence. Take My Heart is set in New York, where revenge hungry bad-boy Bronson Lockhart finds himself suddenly obsessed with the girlfriend of the guy who set him up. As a departure from my dark romances, my recent rom-com Beautiful but Strange revolves around two very unlikely lovers who meet when she ties herself to a tree that he, a cheeky, handsome developer plans to have removed. And currently, I’m back to dark romance with Dark Descent into Desire. Due out early April 2020. With strong gothic romance themes, this story revolves around a mysterious billionaire and his obsession with an artist, who manages to go somewhere no one else has ever been: to the heart and soul of this damaged man.

Interview with Author – Candace Nadine Breen, Ph.D.
Candace Nadine Breen is of West African (Benin, Cameroon ) descent and wears many hats. She taught English in Providence, Rhode Island for eleven years for grades seven and nine. During that time, she tried to find her place in society while being driven away from various religious organizations for her inability to conform to their standards. While raising a family, she returned to school and earned a Master’s in Human Services with a focus on Marriage and Family Counseling. She was later a real estate agent for a few years but found it unfulfilling , stressful and time consuming. After taking time to open up herself to her true path, she buried herself in metaphysical studies, earning a Master’s of Science and Doctorate in Metaphysics. She became a Spiritualist Minister which seemed like the perfect occupation for her, at first, but she gradually felt that she was outgrowing the Spiritualist community and was told by a medium unknown to her that her path would not end with the Spiritualist Church.
It was very difficult for Candace to fit into societal boxes and , after, falling into depression, she threw caution to the wind and decided to follow her true calling. She embraced her psychic talents, wrote and published three successful memoirs, threw herself into her art and began working on children’s books, young adult fiction books and sci-fi novels.
Although Candace is a Master Gardener, she has always loved gardening and just being outside in nature. She has found satisfaction in earth-based religions and solitary spiritual practices despite the fact that she refuses to be labeled as any particular religion. She enjoys being in her garden, meditating in her wooded and quiet backyard, painting, art, and spending time with her family. She studies earth magick, gives Spirit messages via intuitive tarot reading, runes, herbal medicine and her mediumship abilities. Candace also devotes herself to speaking, helping and healing for the highest and greatest good.

Interview with Author – Camille Cabrera
My name is Camille Cabrera and over the years my love for travel turned into an ache too difficult to leave alone for long. My first visit to Santa Catalina Island ultimately inspired me to write Catalina’s Tide. I still remember how strange it felt to see bison walking on the beach as I curiously peeked outside of my tent. The mystery and that I magic felt on that memorable trip ended up being the perfect catalyst for my most recent novella.
Interview with Author – C. R. Stewart
I am originally from Newport Beach, California, and have twenty years of experience writing fiction, nonfiction, and movie screenplays. My areas of expertise also includes film and media production, global strategy, and international marketing.
Britfield & The Lost Crown was conceived as an idea over 10 years ago while I was enduring a boring finance seminar. It started as a sketch of a hot air balloon with a young boy and girl trapped inside. From this simple drawing sprang the entire concept and story for Britfield.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in British Literature and European History from Brown University; did post- graduate work at Harvard University; earned an MBA from Boston College; and am pursuing a Master of Science in Advanced Management and a PhD in Strategy.
Now based in San Diego, I am a strong supporter of education and the arts. I enjoy world travel, reading, riding, swimming, sailing, tennis, and am currently on a National School Book Tour with Britfield & The Lost Crown speaking to students on the importance of creativity!

Interview with Author – Arnittress Dowdy
I am born and raised in New York just minutes away from New York City. I consider myself to be a writer, poet and author. At a young age, I fell in love with poetry. I was amazed at how you could express your feelings, create a scene and tell a story through poetry. Soon after discovering poetry, I read her first romance novel, Once Is Not Enough by Jacqueline Susann. In 2007, my first novel Dreamtini was published. Shortly after Dreamtini’s release I stepped away from writing. I returned in 2018 and released Dreamtini the 2nd Edition, followed by Pieces of Me and Simply Me; both, are a part of the Intimately Me Collection.
When I am not writing, I am most likely trying to keep up with my two young sons.
Interview with Author – Anne Krist
A few years ago, Dee S. Knight began writing erotic romance. She got up each morning to create characters who kill people, fall in love, become drunk with power, or sober with responsibility. And they spend a lot of time in the bedroom, if you know what I mean. One day Dee wanted to write a sweeter romance and she “created” Anne Krist. Anne writes happily ever afters that don’t involve so much bed time but are full of emotion and romance. Her first book, Burning Bridges, is the book of her heart.
Later, Dee developed still a third personality, Jenna Stewart, who writes historical ménage and shifter stories. Whew! All three of her personas are found on the Nomad Authors website.
