Author Bio:
I am a Swedish crime fiction author and I am also an artist: I am a graduate of Stockholm School of Arts. I travelled for many years and worked and lived in different countries before I finally settled in Australia nineteen years ago.
My novels are set in my adopted home town Sydney and they are available in both English and Swedish on Amazon and other online stores world-wide.
My first novel written in English ‘GAME’ has received great reviews by readers, and the Swedish edition of this novel ‘Skuggspel’ was recently listed as #1 Best Seller in Swedish Language Fiction on Amazon.com (November 2015).
What inspires you to write?
Sydney inspires me: it is the most beautiful city on the planet!
Tell us about your writing process.
Ideas for books come to me at all times – and I write them down as they enter my mind. My books are built on a certain concept – what the story will be about – and when I sit down to write, the story grows from there: with notes filled with ideas covering my desk… I also do a lot of research of police procedures, real life murderers and forensic data. When I have finished writing a novel it feels like I have just given birth to it: it now has a life of its own.
For Fiction Writers: Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My characters speak through me… I need to say the characters’ words out loud to hear if it sounds right.
Who are your favorite authors?
My favourite books are written by Ake Edwardsson, Patricia Cornwell and Henning Mankell. I grew up reading crime fiction by Swedish crime fiction authors, but books by Agatha Cristie are included in my earliest memories of reading books.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Self publishing gives you the freedom to write whatever you want whenever you want – without deadlines and editing by a publisher who might have other ideas about the writing.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
The future of book publishing lies in the hands of the readers – if readers only read eBooks, traditional book shops and publishers will not survive. I do hope brick and mortar book shops will survive.
What genres do you write?
Thriller/Mystery/Suspense/Crime Fiction
What formats are your books in?
eBook, Print
